My name is Jennifer Abbey and I am from Rochester, NY. I graduated summa cum laude from Marist College with a Bachelor of Art in communication with a dual concentration in Radio/TV/Film and journalism.
I have interned at YNN Rochester, The Dr. Oz Show, Entertainment Tonight, and ABC News.
During my time at Marist, I was very active in Marist College Television, specifically in their news division. Every other week we produced a half hour news show in which I brainstormed story ideas, shoot, report, write, and edit packages using Avid. During each show, I performed a variety of duties including director, technical director, camera operator, teleprompter operator, and as an anchor.
I am currently doing freelance work for ABCNews.com and World News with Diane Sawyer. I am seeking a career in television production because I love that every day is different. When you walk into work, you never know what you’re going to get. It is exciting, challenging, and something I truly look forward to.
